Although
the heading above says Photographs 1964 to 1967, the photos in the posts below
are provisionally only those relating more or less closely to the OVC. The
other pictures from 1964-1967 (the voyage on the Stirling Castle, the trip
through Europe in the old baker’s van, Iceland, and others) will hopefully be
added here later.
Photography
has been a hobby of mine almost as far back as I can remember. Here’s my very
first camera dating back to about 1953.
So
when I was fortunate enough to be at the OVC between 1964 and 1967, I made good
use of the opportunity to take a lot of photos of some of the many wonderful
people there.
It
has taken a long time to find, organise and scan my 1964-67 negatives, and
collect details about them (I could, for example, give you the details of the
developer used and the time and temperature for the development of many of the
films – but I won’t). It’s nice when a long project finally comes together, and
although some of the pictures are not in their best final form (dust and
scratches can be removed, exposures can be improved), I do not want to delay
putting them online any longer; besides they can now easily be worked on.
The
photographs appear in roughly chronological order. The list of blog archives on
the right of this page contains the names of all the posts containing
photographs. Each entry has a date for the pictures in that post. You can
therefore click on any particular post and see the photos in it without having
to scroll through other photos you may have no interest in.
If
you appear in any of the pictures, if you can provide any further or corrected
details (e.g. on names or other information), if you have any interest in or
connection to the pictures, please contact me. It will be great to hear from
you. All comments welcome!
